Training Prevention Update

Thanks to its research, the A&D Transport Sagl team has acquired specific knowledge on the topic of lithium batteries, such as risk prevention and safety in the storage, handling, and transport of ADR dangerous goods.

Collaboration with schools, training and testing centers, such as MMVTOX, Scuola Guida Evoluzione, etc., requires us to constantly update our skills and improve the transfer of these skills to third parties.

We will continue in this direction, convinced that the move toward electrification requires constant professional development and public awareness and prevention efforts on these issues.

Lithium Batteries - Risks and Transport (CQC Course)

Lithium Batteries - Risks and Transport (CQC Course)

Training objective of the course: Lithium batteries, risks and transportation

The "Lithium Ionic Batteries - Hazards and Protection During Transport" module, organized by the Evoluzione Driving School in Manno, is a training module related to obtaining and maintaining the Driver Qualification Card (CQC). It aims to introduce participants to the recognition and appropriate management of safety measures during the transport and storage (Logistics) of lithium batteries. Freight transport professionals are faced with various hazardous materials (ADR/RID). Lithium batteries and the devices they contain contain a percentage of lithium, a particular substance that is increasingly present in everyday life. The electrification of vehicles poses several pitfalls for transport professionals and the logistics companies that store them. This new training course aims to help participants recognize the presence of this element in their transport, prevent fires and the spontaneous ignition of lithium, and respond with the safety and integrity of people as a priority. It also aims to help participants recognize the appropriate tools for safe transport and respond correctly and safely in the event of a fire.

Educational objective of the course

Developed with ARE Italia srl - VR (Italy)

The ON DEMAND course aims to provide the information and instructions needed to identify hazards in the collection and storage of spent rechargeable (lithium-ion) batteries. Correct procedures and the use of appropriate tools can prevent spontaneous ignition, resulting in fires in spaces and equipment at collection, recycling, and separation facilities. The module includes both theoretical and practical components; details will be defined based on the professional needs of the participants/companies.
